Slow Unfair Gameplay

It’s not a glitch with your account, it’s just the current state of the game. A few things to point out.

Pack luck is based on probabilities. Expect the lowest outcome. Just because some people get lucky now and then doesn’t mean you will. A lot of event guides aren’t made anymore because it’s impossible to predict what you’ll pull, so creators just show the minimum expected if you stick to the daily grind. The point is, don't expect much from packs.

Gameplay after the update has been horrible for almost everyone. What you described is basically what most of us are dealing with in one way or another. Also AI tries to autoplay and decide what the best pass should be instead of us being in control.

Latency issues have been largely addressed, but they remain partially unresolved. I still get poor connectivity in LVL and VSA. 
H2H is another story, mostly tied to matchmaking and who you end up playing against, as well as how the network handles the connection between players.
