Star shield protection

Why can't I use my star shield protection in legendary 5 tier

It only works till World Class I. If you get demoted to World Class I, you will still have them.

Star Shields are only relevant for the Season in which they are earned and valid for Divisions up to Legendary. Link if you need more info.
