unfair match making and unfair draft system

I really want utoty mbappe, I'll even take toty before exchange ends but pls do something.  I see everybody with the players I need and want but I don't get them.

Yeah, EA has totally screwed up this game. As a F2Per I was always a little frustrated before the recent changes to get buzzsawed by a P2Per with 11 meta players when I could only field 4-5. But it was somewhat rare and at least I had a prayer to maybe salvage a draw (because the shard system always enabled me to snag one or maybe two meta players per event). But ever since TOTY and the draft system put meta cards behind a massive paywall the gap between F2Pers and P2Pers has turned into a CHASM. And it’s made all the more glaringly obvious because the Division Rivals season has not reset and F2Pers like me are still clinging to our FC Champions rankings, where, as 6zi0wi3ltxzg notes, we now face opponents who have collected multiple TOTY meta cards while we’ve been unable to claim ANY! The result is that we don’t stand a chance against these stacked lineups and it serves as a constant reminder of how fully we’ve gotten screwed by the voucher system!

The upshot is as jarring as it is stark:  The draft system has created a clear caste system in which F2Pers are now doomed to be permanent second-class citizens.

To be clear, no F2Per expects to be able to field a team that’s as stacked as someone who pays, but, prior to the TOTY event, we could at least remain marginally competitive/relevant. However, now we see no future in which we can win any top players that fit our squad needs. This is both humiliating and frustrating — especially given that many of us have labored for over a year to build our current squads.

The cherry on top of this poo sundae is that EA remain silent in the face of withering criticism. Folks have been providing feedback for over a month. Much of it has been constructive. Yet we receive nothing but “we’re listening” platitudes in response — no substantive reply and NO ACTION. Is it any wonder then that users are growing angrier and more indignant by the day? No, of course not, because our anger is righteous! We’ve been wronged. More than a year’s worth of hard work to build a competitive squad has been wiped out in the course of a few weeks by a system that erected an overnight Berlin “Pay” Wall and blocked any path we have to remain relevant/competitive. And the writing on this “wall” couldn’t be clearer — the gap between the “haves” and the “have nots” is only going to widen under the current system. When the ranks reset next month many of us will find it exceedingly difficult to reach FC Champions level (especially in VSA and MM) and we will be deprived of important prizes (like 10k gem packs) that enabled us to buy at least a few draft vouchers in TOTY. Without these rewards we will just fall farther and farther behind.

Despite how EA treat us, WE ARE NOT STUPID. We see the writing on the wall and we feel the gun EA has placed to our head — to spend major $$$ or become irrelevant. And this is why recent weeks have seen so much talk of a mass exodus from the game. Maybe this is what EA intends. But if it’s not then they MUST acknowledge the avalanche of “feedback” and tell us what, if anything, they plan to do. And if they choose to remain silent then I think we have to assume that this means they fully intend to go forward with the new caste system and that we must make our own decisions acvordingly.

If EA continues with the draft system, I don't see a reason to continue playing this game because I don't enjoy being a scapegoat for P2P players and I won't put a cent into the draft system. Before the draft system, I sometimes spent some money, but with the draft system, I don't see a reason to because it makes no sense and the chance of getting a good player from the draft is almost zero (I don't understand how someone can have Mbappe, Dembele, Zico and Gullit in one team and I play against such players regularly, what kind of scam is this?) and spending 500 euros for one player who will no longer be relevant in a month and who you don't even want because you can't choose the one you need is stupid, especially when the gameplay is terrible, like for example, when passing on the run, you have to aim at the player you want to pass to and at another time at the place you want to pass to, and who is supposed to know about that then? and there are more similar things in the gameplay but I don't feel like writing it here if EA isn't interested
