VSA: This isn’t fair or fun

First screenshot comes from match where I played flawlessly only to be robbed on the last possession by a shot inexplicably hitting the post. Nothing about my input or the game situation (in which my attacker was free and in on goal) explains why this shot hit the post and robbed me of a well-deserved draw. Suffice it to say, this result did not feel fair.

And in my very next match I was dealt another losing hand with the matchup pictured in the second screenshot — an opponent with a +2 OVR and approximately +20 ranks above me. The result (third screenshot) was entirely predictable, and the gameplay was miserable. The match should NEVER have been made.

Why can’t we get fair and fun gameplay? EA is charging users more $$$ than ever for top cards ($50 for a 117!?), but is failing to attend to basic gameplay issues. I’ve raised these issues before and so have others. Why can’t we get a response and some action on them? Why must EA continue to abuse users?

  • How many stars did you have? They just matched me up with someone from 30+ stars when I was close to finally getting 10 stars.

  • Hey

This is the second time someone has to report of unfair matchmaking in vsa in a while. I was on 8 stars and close to finally getting 10 stars in vsa but then you matched me up with someone from 30+ stars with 124 ovr. This is unfair and I feel this 'deliberate' to increase the difficulty (for no reason). My question is Why does someone under 10 stars has to be matched up with someone from 30+ stars??

It’s been about four seasons since I’ve managed to reach 10 stars. The match are surreal.

Yep, it may not have been deliberate to start, but we’ve raised this issue of awful matchmaking time and again and, at this point, EA’s failure to address it makes these matches deliberate. It’s unfair. It’s no fun. And it just doesn’t have to be this way. (I posted my latest nightmare — screenshots below — only yesterday.)

The code could easily be fixed to prevent matches where the users are separated by more than 10 ranks either to the plus or minus. It’s that simple. Nobody would mind waiting an extra 30 seconds for a fair

EA constantly says they are “listening.” Well PROVE it!
