That was a joke, right? It's very difficult to get shards. Milinković-Savić for 300 shards is a good price. I invested in him and I'm going to invest in all the smaller ones. It's impossible to get 1,000 shards. That's crazy.

Agreed. When all you get are 5-shard players then 1,500 just isn’t happening. 😒

It’s mystifying to me how EA are so tone deaf. A week ago they asked for feedback on the update and they’ve received a mountain of it. Thus far they’ve yet to reply. But here comesEA_Pulsar​ hyping an event that (a) we’re already well aware of; and (b) offers such poor odds as to make the top prizes (pictured above) all but unattainable for most us. To me it all comes off as a bit insulting.

If EA wants to try and “sell” us on new event after new event then it needs to better deliver on the fundamental “value proposition” of its app — make it consistently FUN to play football with the players they are selling! Maybe EA is already working on some of the issues the community has raised. If so, then tell us! If not, then explain why. But either way, COMMUNICATE with us.

The users who visit this forum are, pretty much by definition, the folks paying closest attention to the game. We are all very well aware when a new set of players becomes available and we don’t need a CM to tell us. The time a CM takes to post these “hype” messages could be much better spent composing a reply to community feedback and concerns as this would go a long way toward countering the perception that the forums exist mainly so that EA can pay lip service to “listening” to the community while it mostly seeks to exploit the forums for its own purposes (namely, to “sell” its latest “wares”—see above).
