The game is intentionally built his way because:
- To help everybody win as to keep lower skilled players playing the game
- Drive purchases when a losing streak makes you think your players are outdated
- Dramatic wins and losses trigger dopamine loops that keep players addicted to the game
Unfortunately, the game isn't built to be a great game and keep people happy. It's built to make money and keep making money.

Yeah, there’s a maddening degree of variability in player performance and user skill, ping, and squad composition just don’t seem to account for it. There are simply matches where my players’ performance dips inexplicably.
With in-app purchases driving FCM revenue, EA’s incentive structure certainly doesn’t align with what users most want — consistently excellent gameplay. Instead, the incentive is to make users feel enough distress that they spend more. And with EA’s sale to the Saudi’s now complete, the company is likely to become even more ruthless in chasing profit over playability.
