Investigation Request: Game Performance and Potential Cheating

I'm concerned about the performance of this game, particularly in light of your previous responses to similar issues. When I've mentioned that cheating seems to be a problem, I've felt dismissed. I'd like to bring this to your attention again, as I've encountered a frustrating issue. As soon as I started the game, it froze repeatedly. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.

Before we discuss potential solutions, I want to emphasize that my network connection is stable, with a strong 4G signal. Given this, I suspect that the issue might be related to either EA's server performance in Sub-Saharan Africa or potential cheating mechanisms. I'd appreciate it if you could take these possibilities into consideration and provide a more thorough investigation into this matter."

  • Hi z5p3m4xcm6l6

    Thanks for reaching out.

For game performance advice, it's often the case that running through the basics can help improve performance and connection issues by flushing out outdated cache and resyncing things. I'd recommend giving the troubleshooting steps in the guide matching your device type a try:

In terms of cheating activity z5p3m4xcm6l6, I'm afraid we're not equipped to process cheating reports through the forums, and naming and shaming players on here can lead to harassment so we ask members not to name and shame other gamers on this forum (as a result of this, we've edited the images in this thread to keep your post within the forum rules, please keep them in mind for again).

We do have official channels in place to receive reports and route them to the team investigating them. To report a player or league in EAS FC Mobile:

    1. Press the Report Icon (blue loudspeaker) beside the username or league name.
    2. Select the Reporting Reason from the dropdown list.
    3. Include any additional information in the report.
    4. Click Send to submit the report.

As we can't investigate cheating reports on the forums, I'll wrap this thread up here.

    Thanks

I never said people shouldn’t complain. What I said is that some issues are on EA, but others are outside their control. It helps to understand the difference between a bug, a feature, a design flaw, or a technical limitation before jumping straight to “EA is evil”—which seems to be a common theme in many vents/rants on the forums.

If you want your complaint to actually hold weight, drop the emotion, verify your facts, consider the technical and physical limitations, and rule out issues on your end first.

I’ll always take the devil’s advocate role, because piling onto blame without understanding how things work helps no one—neither the community nor EA. That applies to more than just games.

FCM clearly isn’t where it should—or could—be. I’ve played FIFA/FC across console, PC, and mobile since the early days. Some seasons were great, some were awful. What we’re seeing now? A lot is on EA, sure—but not everything can be blamed on what players see as “poor decisions,” especially when global play introduces real technical limits most don’t think about ("technical ignorance").

Hardware variance makes mobile development even harder—unlike console or PC, mobile devices vary hugely in performance, connectivity, and configuration. And then there’s the install size: trying to fit a full-featured football game into 2GB on mobile, compared to 50+ GB on console/PC, is no small task.

Also worth remembering: the game needs revenue. No revenue means no dev team, no updates—and eventually, no game. It’s a double-edged sword. Players want more, but that only happens if the business stays sustainable and the core engine still runs on most devices. And at the end of the day—it’s still just a game. If it shuts down tomorrow, life goes on.

I don’t think it’s cheating—bots typically are deployed in the lowest tiers, not yours. What’s more likely is the “Division Rivals line‑up mismatch” bug (a known issue, reported as Bug #75 on Discord) where the squad shown on the main screen doesn’t match the one used in Division Rivals, despite being properly selected. This lineup looks genuine-ish with Becks being the holding player for another card.

On top of that, there’ve been multiple graphical glitches recently: wins showing as losses, mismatched player OVRs, and incorrect goal-scorer listings. It looks messy—and so far, it appears to be display-related, where ironically enough, clearing your cache (and/or restarting your app or even phone) fixes it for a while, then it creeps back in, not anything cheating-related.

I deleted the app. I hope that when I return in a few months, these “problems” will be gone.

Well that's the thing. We don't have to know about network.EA is selling a product and if they want us to use they have to make sure it works. Just like any other product on the market. Now the game is really unplayable due to all the errors. Is as simple as that. And is not just one or two players that have this issue to say it's a problem with our configuration or hardware. In the end if you are not capable to make a product that works with what most people have at home then it's not our duty to support your business. They should shut down the servers and go home.

  • There's a survey right now, login into the game, join the survey, I'm sure you know what to tick.  If we all right and tick the reviews the way we know it is en mass, it will force them to listen to us. Head there now, have done mine. Trust me, i gave it bad. Let spread the news.

Yes, EA has dropped the ball—on bugs, logic flaws, poor transparency and taking time to resolve the issue. That’s on them. But not everything is. A lot of issues still come from weak Wi-Fi, outdated or low-end devices, overloaded networks, or bad setups.

Dismissing all that is just modern consumer entitlement—expecting flawless performance on any device without understanding or effort. “It doesn’t work, so it’s EA’s fault” is a lazy take for a complex, global online multiplayer game.

Take the emotion out, and look at the overall picture without any biases. The game, despite its shortfalls, still delivers quite a bit—for a 2GB mobile app running across thousands of device types. It’s not perfect (and never will be), but if you're going to complain, at least understand the basics. Otherwise, it's just noise.

No, you don’t need to be a tech expert. But don’t pretend ignorance is a valid stance. And if you hate the game that much? Uninstall it. Or better yet, offer something constructive instead of piling onto the EA hate bandwagon.

  • Blindly ticking every survey box as “dissatisfied” in a fit of rage over bugs doesn’t help—it drowns real issues in pointless noise.

Focus on answering relevant questions about the game’s problems and add your concerns in the write-in sections—but don’t just rage-click “dissatisfied” for every event without thinking. I’ve pointed out the shortcomings and flaws whenever possible, but also given credit where it’s due.

Some design choices actually work well—you wouldn’t want those scrapped and replaced with worse ones, would you?

Remember, problems with the game engine are not the same as event design issues.

Nobody is saying this isn't a good game, it's the best of it's kind. But the current issues are making it unplayable. My issue with EA is they're business model and the way they are using some of the bugs in their advantage and try to hide the others. Like I said the way they design the new H2H and VS attack menu so we can't se the cheaters on the first positions and the fact that they leave this idiotic gameplay to encourage hate, rage and ambiguity. So that players can't say what do do to win. Even this thing with the meta cards where a 109 player is better than a 114. How is that logic I don't know. The thing is that I know for a fact they have better gameplay, based on passing and player inputs. They had it for half a day. And guess what? Everybody was so relaxed playing the game. No rage, no hate. Because the game was fun, you could score nice goals, or have good plays and you could see people skills and appreciate their value. But now it's hard to be ok when you loose from a corner goal when you're last goal from a corner was last week, or when teams auto defend but even if you tackle the player three or four times in a row somehow the ball magically jumps to the strike that is alone with the keaper and I can continue with this all day. And yes, some of them are technical limitations, some are just minor bugs but the others are programmed and let in the game because it's suits their business model. They had the beta that ended on 16. What are they waiting? They will keep it for another month to release it. Meanwhile we play just not to loose resources hoping the game will improve.
