My game is not performing as advertised. EA refuses to help. I need a refund.

My Madden 24 that I downloaded does not have a friends portal. Pressing R3 does literally nothing. I cannot add friends, and when someone sends me a friend request, it does not appear anywhere. Playing with friends is the only reason I bought Madden 24, and I spent money on the game falsely believing I'd be able to do so. More details below:

-I am signed into my EA account

-I am signed into the Playstation Network

-My Madden 24 and my PS4 both have the latest updates

-I've tried deleting my Madden and redownloading it (did not work)

-Ive tried creating a new EA account (did not work)

-Ive tried creating a case with EA help (no one even bothered to read my email, they just kept suggesting I access the friends portal, which I kept saying is impossible in my copy of Madden)

So far I have tried to get a refund from Sony but they said no. I tried to get a refund from EA and they didn't help. It is very frustrating to get zero help from EA so far after I spent $70 on their game, just for it to not perform as advertised. Playing with online friends is literally the only reason I bought it.  I'd like this fixed so I can be able to play the game I bought, but it seems like a refund is more realistic at this point. Thank you.

    Can't even play the game, haven't been able to for 4 days now & got 0 answers as to why so I'm right there with you

    I've gone through 2 different EA help routes, Reddit, and Sony. Nobody helped. I bought this game under the false pretense that it would work as advertised, and now that it doesn't, I'm just getting a giant middle finger from EA and Sony. Its a disgrace, I've spent hours fighting customer service and have literally gotten nowhere. Everybody refuses to help.

    I don’t know why we post on here, they never respond. Just quit buying the game. This is the first year I don’t own it! Feel pretty good about that

    For real. I just want my money back at this point, which is a process that EA literally makes IMPOSSIBLE. No matter what I say to their customer service reps, I get the same copy-and-paste ChatGPT level responses, which never actually address what I'm saying. I've been trying for nearly a week to talk to someone who can help and it's so obvious that these people not even reading what I'm telling them. It's negligence. They purposely make it impossible to get anywhere.
