(Day 4) PC client - XBOX layout on receivers instead of PS

I've been playing the EA Play trial for Madden 24 (using the EA launcher) on PC with a Playstation 4 controller, connected through USB.

Everything in game shows the correct Playstation button layout meaning the menus, playcalling and substitutions in game, even the buttons on top of receivers in OFFLINE modes EXCEPT when I play ONLINE H2H or House Rules. For some reason, an online mode makes the button layout on top of the receivers change to the XBOX configuration.

At this point I'm just wondering when exactly this will be acknowledged by EA support.
