How to play online against friends on XBox One???

Whats Going On Folks!

I am NOT new to madden, but I am new to these forums.

I have Madden 24 on XBox one

I have an active XBox Live account

I have an active EA Sports Account

I cannot play against my friends who use XBox One nor XBox-X, nor PS4/PS5.

There is no "EA Connect" interface listed anywhere.

I can get onto Quick Play > Play online > play with friends, HOWEVER, there is no where to invite anyone or type in another players name.

Any help so my son can play against his buddies is appreciated.
