Just randomly started stuttering out of nowhere

Madden has been fine, but ~1.5 weeks ago, I started to get a giant stutter ~once per drive, where It was at 2 seconds per frame for 3 seconds and then it went at double speed for 3 seconds, with me having no way to control it for both parts. This happened offline, online, and even on the menus (although for offline and the menus, it didn't have the speedup after the stutter). Today I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, changing the settings to the absolute lowest, and clearing the EA app cache but it got worse, once per literal play, the game was unplayable. No other games have this issue so I don't think something's wrong with my PC, can someone help?

  • Hi @quorlanix

Thanks for the update and for trying those steps!  To confirm was the dxdiag run before or after you tried the steps above?

Also, if you haven't we can try the following:

    1. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.
    2. Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
    3. Reinstall your game and the EA app.
    4. If there’s an option available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync), to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
      • You can usually turn on V-Sync in your game’s graphics settings menu.
      • If V-Sync isn’t available as an option in your game, you can find it through your graphic card’s Control Panel. For more info, check your GPU manufacturer’s help documentation.

    Cheers!
