Someone help me understand why recording a game is so difficult.
I, along with a host of other players, can hardly record games without the dreaded stutter monster rearing his ugly head. Someone please help me understand this one concerning recording my games. How come I can record parts of a game without any stuttering at all, and then randomly the game will start to stutter and will do so for a couple of minutes and then be fine for the rest of the game. Ohhh yeah, I'm on PC so there is no capture card involved. Just a straight recording from the game to an OBS file. I would be the first to blame it on OBS, but that program is not at fault here. Madden 24 is the only game that I record that has this problem. Doesn't matter how low I have all my game and OBS recording settings, I still have random stutters through out my recordings.
My rig specs are well over the recommended required equipment metrics and I don't have more than 70-75% of my CPU and GPU being utilized, so I know that I'm not reaching any kind of headroom issues here.
