Games won't launch through EA app

I go to launch Madden 25 and it prepares game, launches game, loads the anti cheat splash screen until the white bar is at about 99%, then it just takes me right back to the EA app homescreen.

I've tried: reinstalling EA app, reinstalling game (through steam and through EA app), repairing game, disabling firewall, lowered UAC controls, cleared cache, reset my entire PC to factory settings and reinstalling everything, run system file checker, checked environment variables, ran everything as admin, etc. Seeing as it gets to 99% of the anti cheat loading and then restarting, I figure it has to do with something anticheat??? I've even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the anti cheat...

I've seemingly tried everything. I'm not sure if there's anything they can do on the EA side but this is insane. I've spent all day trying to fix this thing and I've spent waaaay too much money on Ultimate Team (even though I shouldn't) to lose everything due to a ridiculous error.

  • Almost same for me. I've been offline for a while, haven't changed anything. Tried to launch Battlefield 1, and it got update, update stuck at 1%. Reinstalled EA app, and tried to install game, then it said "Can't create folder", Then I found some info it may be a case of user permission & need to be sure SYSTEM user have all privileges(which i haven't changed, everything was working fine with Origins). After that game installation stuck at 4% with red message on it with something like "Can't get permission". WTF? I've tried a lot of crap. Few days all the same. Ubi, Steam, Epic, GOG, BattleNet works as usual, all games launching normally.Only EA does not work. I really don't want to end up calling for refund for all my games I've bought from EA. But if they can't deliver products I've paid for... what else do I have? Like anyway I'm not playing any of that already for a while and will just go Steam and get something as alternative.

  • @joetruppa filed a ticket and have yet to hear an answer. That was a week ago. At this point I am going to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge for the points I bought that I am unable to use.

And yes, my computer and drivers are up to date. my system requirements are fine: i've played this game for months with no issues until today

Same problem for me I created a ticket and after 3 hours, I tried everything and I finally found an error code when i want to acces at BF1 in administrator mode  F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield

(Screen off the error in attachment)

I reply to the support with the error code and he say the problem is known from the dev team so I think they gonna patch the bug in few day ? I hope
