Create-a-coach offline is broken: EA Servers unable to process, etc

I can only play with existing coaches now in offline franchise. I cannot create a coach. If I try, I get an error  saying the servers are unable to process the request. I KNEW I shouldn't have updated the game. This needs to be an all hands on deck fix IMMEDIATELY. The entire selling point of this game was custom coaches.
