DEFENSE IS BROKEN
RUN DEFENSE (LBs): Linebackers immediately crash down on run-plays and linemen cant pick them up. Nearly every running play goes for 0-2 yards. RBs also NEVER fall forward. Constantly getting stuffed on 3rd and inches. I love the fact that running backs no longer fall forward for 3-4 yards every play but you nerfed it too far in the other direction. Now they're stopped short at the slightest touch.
PASS RUSH (DL): Pass-rush is WAY overpowered. Im getting pressured halfway through my drop-back by no-name 70s rated DTs because blocks are NOT being held. And if I even remotely move outside of the pocket Im immediately getting blasted by a DE. Again, good concept in theory because of users abusing rollouts in prior games, but now defenders are disengaging from blocks near instantly.
Meanwhile user controlling dlineman seems to make them LESS effective.
EX: Dexter Lawrence cannot for the life of him beat a single block when user controlling him
COVERAGE (DBs): Wide-receivers are consistently mossing DBs, even when user controlling / perfectly positioned. If a QB isn't pressured in 0.5 seconds due to the OP pash-rush, the secondary is auto-gashed for huge gains. Man coverage is a disaster. Any slant and the offensive player has 3-5 yards of separation.
OTHER PROBLEMS:
1) hit-stick is non-existent.
2) Diving tackles were way overpowered in prior games but now they're too nerfed. LBs right on top of the player theyre covering are diving into the air and can NEVER make a shoe-string tackle
3) Pursuit angles are atrocious. Constantly having defenders run an inch too far and the WR/RB/etc. blows by them without so much as a struggle.
This game looks great. It FEELS grounded and realistic. But WOW...user control and the interface needs a LOT of work. Praying this gets patched ASAP, this game feels half finished
