DEFENSE IS BROKEN

RUN DEFENSE (LBs): Linebackers immediately crash down on run-plays and linemen cant pick them up. Nearly every running play goes for 0-2 yards. RBs also NEVER fall forward. Constantly getting stuffed on 3rd and inches. I love the fact that running backs no longer fall forward for 3-4 yards every play but you nerfed it too far in the other direction. Now they're stopped short at the slightest touch.

PASS RUSH (DL): Pass-rush is WAY overpowered. Im getting pressured halfway through my drop-back by no-name 70s rated DTs because blocks are NOT being held. And if I even remotely move outside of the pocket Im immediately getting blasted by a DE. Again, good concept in theory because of users abusing rollouts in prior games, but now defenders are disengaging from blocks near instantly.
Meanwhile user controlling dlineman seems to make them LESS effective. 
EX: Dexter Lawrence cannot for the life of him beat a single block when user controlling him

COVERAGE (DBs): Wide-receivers are consistently mossing DBs, even when user controlling / perfectly positioned. If a QB isn't pressured in 0.5 seconds due to the OP pash-rush, the secondary is auto-gashed for huge gains. Man coverage is a disaster. Any slant and the offensive player has 3-5 yards of separation.

OTHER PROBLEMS: 
1) hit-stick is non-existent. 
2) Diving tackles were way overpowered in prior games but now they're too nerfed. LBs right on top of the player theyre covering are diving into the air and can NEVER make a shoe-string tackle
3) Pursuit angles are atrocious. Constantly having defenders run an inch too far and the WR/RB/etc. blows by them without so much as a struggle.

This game looks great. It FEELS grounded and realistic. But WOW...user control and the interface needs a LOT of work. Praying this gets patched ASAP, this game feels half finished

  • I’m on ps5 and I’m having the same issues, running the ball is **bleep** near impossible unless I’m auto simming the season and or playing the moments but actually user controlling the running back I get stuffed immediately, usually for a 2-3 yard loss no reason Trey Henderson should be getting mucked by no name linebackers or edge rushers from teams like the browns and jets. Passing is broken my receivers constantly have that same separation. And the superstar bug where the routes don’t align are absolutely ridiculous and yes I’ve done the free form and pass lead but they still can’t get to the spot no reason my 99 overall 3x heisman qb from cfb 26 should be getting taken less than no.5 the menu lag is horrible, takes 6 seconds to load/move between menus. The sim logic makes zero sense either, my second year with my pats franchise I simmed to mid season 5 and 1 and then I finish 9-8 after the first year of going 11 and 6. Still won the Super Bowl both times as the underdog. Draft bugs are terrible blackscreened in both drafts. Restarting game fixed it though. The draft logic makes no sense either second year, traded up twice to three and five picked a generational running back 81 overall hidden dev 4 elites then a 76 d tackle with three elites in strength speed and I can’t remember the 3 stat, then traded up to 11 just to draft a 77 wide receiver with 3 maybe 4 elites and he’s a hidden dev simmed the rest of the draft and cpu drafts 4 more hidden devs in the later rounds. Oh and the first year after winning the bowl I traded up again to 4 to draft a generational guard with elite accel speed strength and cod 81 overall out the gate. Mind you this on normal draft class strength. For some reason EA can’t make a playable f’ing game at launch. Ending my rant now  

  • Defensive pursuit on run plays are horrible. Many times the defensive play will not attack the RB but run to a spot. Makes no sense. Zone coverage has nothing over the middle in the short to medium areas that work. And after the patch the match up zones do not work!
