Local Co-op Franchise Kickoff bug

Does anyone else have the issue when playing local coop franchise that kickoffs automatically result in the users ball? Neither user gets to kick the ball and the cpu kicker just stands there until the play ends and the user team ends up with the ball. It was also a problem in madden 25 that hasn’t been addressed.
