Superstar Mode - Absolutely Terrible (Again)
This is by far the worst superstar mode I've seen in a Madden game. Some of my favorite lowlights in general:
-No voice acting
-NFL Combine is the same lazy minigame slop.
-Absolutely no story outside the super weird relationship wheel. Nothing screams "immersive NFL player experience" like joining a "hacker" for a livestream.
Role Specific Feedback - we've had the same five roster slots for ages. Where's the Tight End? Why can't I play as an OLB?
- WR:
- QB has absolutely braindead AI. You have to call for EVERY pass or watch him get sacked / scramble for a loss. When you do call for the pass it will routinely delay and be underthrown, overthrown, or thrown right at a defender.
- You become the only viable target for your QB. If you're on the field, he absolutely will refuse to throw to anyone else unless you're double covered.
- HB
- Same braindead AI as before.
- No difference between types of HB that I could see.
- QB
- Probably the only role the team actually spent time coding actively. At least you get the chance to control where the ball goes.

- MLB/CB
- Literally the worst thing you could play unless you like sitting in sim mode for the majority of games (unless your offense is particularly bad).
My suggestion? Just scrap the entire mode and put what little resources you devoted to it into Franchise. But let's be honest, we all know MUT is the only thing ya'll actively develop anymore.
