Cant invite friends H2H madden 26 on PC

This has been happening since i got the game. When I go to play a friend in H2H they show up as online, but i am not getting the option to invite them. sometimes i can other times i cannot. I have tried to unadd and add them back. i have restarted the game and my PC multiple times and still nothing. surely someone else is having this issue too?
