I know this is late. I was able to play on PC (EA Play pro) immediately on the 7th 12pm EST. I had no problems downloading the game and was able to launch it at that time. Hope you got yours to work.
You get the full game on the 11th of August, and EA play members get the trial on the same day

lmao no we don't. EA confirmed on twitter that EA Play PRO members get early access on August 7th not the 11th lmao. No one is getting anything on the 11th, that date is scrubbed - it's either Aug 7th or Aug 14th.

Just saw the link. Those gridiron notes were before they updated the launch date to Aug 7th.
