Desync Before Kickoff in Multiplayer Franchise (Fantasy Draft)

My friends and I did a fantasy draft in Madden 26 Franchise. It has 3 users. I selected the Jaguars and relocated to Paris, but did not change the name. We all played our preseason games without issue, and in those games none of us faced another user. It is week 1 and the jaguars (me) play the panthers (another user). Every time we try to play, it says that a desync has occurred immediately after loading in. Picking a play for kickoff never even comes up. This is weird because we can play H2H online against each other no problem. I googled this issue, and it seems like the usual culprit is having duplicate players in your formations. We both checked this, and neither of us had duplicate players. Is there any fix for this? We are both playing on the steam version of the game.
