Disable any mods, portmaster, or any other "additional" items and then retry.

Disabling portmaster helped this person

I know old thread but as seen by myself and Liv4Lax2 it seems like the in game overlay on the ea application is causing a problem with the game going into full screen and crashing. I have tested it with turning it off and on. With it off no problems but the moment it is turned back on it causes the game to crash
