Horrible Pre-Snap Lag 4080, I9, 64GB RAM

Specs 4080 Super, I9, 64GB Memory. Steam version. 11/19/25 update.

On maybe 50% of all plays, the game slows to a crawl as the offense makes their way to the LOS Pre-Snap. It's like slow motion 3 FPS. Then every play has a brief hitch when the ball is snapped.

Once the ball is snapped, and after the brief snap hitch, gameplay is smooth and looks good for the remainder of the play.

This happens in franchise and playnow. It's unplayable.

I have re-installed, verified file integrity, ensured NVIDIA drivers are updated (even rolled back to the 9/10/25 drivers for testing), and have toggled all levels of graphics settings, resolution, fullscreen, borderless etc. Doesn't make a difference!!

Why JUST Pre-Snap while the Post-Snap is smooth???!!

Apologies for the poor video quality. Had to scale down to lower the file size but this gives you a good idea of what we are seeing. This is from a slowsim franchise game.

I'm having same problem, on franchise slow sim. I5 13600k, RTX 4060Ti, 32GB RAM. I have also tried the same settings as original poster, not resolved. I even checked for Bios, MB is up to date. Checked every single driver all up to date. Even turned off Bluetooth. funny things if I take control of the sticks is mostly smooth, with the odd here and there micro stutter.

I'm having this problem too, defensive side of the ball. 4070Ti, i9-14900KF, 32GB RAM. I uninstalled/reinstalled, updated my graphics driver to current, verified file integrity, tried every different graphic setting I could (including disabling on-field feedback) and no difference. It didn't matter what teams I used. I even tried a custom roster to see if it was related and there was no change. I tried using a connected XBox controller instead of wireless and it made no difference. The game is unplayable in this state.

Having the same issue but it’s only happening on the defensive side of the ball in pre snap. Its makes the game unplayable.
