Madden 26 Been Shutting off my ps5 all week now..

this sh*t starting to **bleep** me off now.. it been doing this all week, franchise mode/ ultimate team. i’ve had this base ps5 since ps5 first came out never had this issue & never had this issue with previous maddens.. i’ve even cleaned my ps5 & i played 1 quarter then it shuts off… when it shuts off it does not turn back on unless i plug it into a different outlet.. then it repeats itself again… any other game i tested the games tonight it haven’t shut off. it did this when i used to play war zone as well my power cord was bad i bought a new one then it was fine up until madden 26 came out now it shuts off randomly regularly now.. so im thinking to just buy a new ps5 cause this got to be a console problem.

Having to disconnect and reconnect the power cable indicates this is definitely an overheating issue. Before buying a new console, look into having your current console cleaned professionally, as once it's really clean, your PS5 should be good to go for quite some time. Thanks.

My PlayStation was working normally on every game. Once I started playing Madden 26, my PlayStation just started over heating and just randomly shuts off now after playing for about an hour. It’s not only Madden I can’t play anymore, it’s all my games (Marvel Rivals, Call of Duty, and College Football 26). I’ve been playing on “favour or prioritize performance” but I feel no changes.

I’m having the same experience I got the console when it first came out too. I’ve cleaned it out and everything, it’s only madden 26 that causes this issue for my console but overheating it bad

Dude I had the same exact issue. I cleaned my ps5, and the fan and still it kept overheating and then powering off without warning. I also had to unplug and plug it back in to turn it on. I bought one of those fans that clip onto the back and it’s seemed to help out with the crashing. But apparently they dropped a patch to fix our issue.

Everytime I play squad seasons or superstar this game crashes my ps5. It’s the only game that does this

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried all the different ways to fix it even factory resetting my ps5 didn’t work. EA said they couldn’t help. PlayStation has yet to give me a fix either. My guess is this game runs on something that stresses out the ps5 to much I’m about to just send it in for repairs at this point.
