AI cheat so badly

Why does the AI in this game cheat so badly?   How do inferior teams with significantly less overall rating play so well against a much more superior team?   
I continue to provide this feedback to EA but never get answers….  
I have been playing this game for 3 years and it never changes.  I’m specifically speaking of tournament play in League play.   Unbelievable
