Weekend League locked on both ps4 & ps5 despite qualifying.

I qualified for the current weekend league through my performance last week. I started this weeks event yesterday and played two games, but for some reason it is now showing that I have "not qualified" and won't let me continue.

A ticket has been raised with EA help and after speaking to 5 different agents they've acknowledged that my account has qualified and I should have access to the competition. The only solution that was repeatedly offered, was to post the bug here. I was told that unless the fault was widespread (and I assume they face a backlash on twitter/youtube) they were not prepared to do anything to fix it.

To give some background, I started the two games I have played on my ps4. I then logged into my ps5 and upgraded it to the next gen version (following EA's delay to launching dual entitlement for non North American players). I then went back onto my ps4 to continue weekend league (as ea had previously stated that you can only play WL over both generations). The ps4 version then stated i had not qualified. I tried then tried it on the ps5, again it said I had not qualified, despite having played two games.

Has anybody else had a similar issue?

    What happens when the bug occurs? On both versions of the game the main Ultimate Team page states i have qualified for the event, but when you click on the event it says i have not. I qualified for the event last week through my performance in weekend league.
    What do you expect to see? The remaining 23 playable weekend league games.

    I qualified for this weeks weekend league event through my performance last week. I started the event on my ps4 (due to the delay in launching dual entitlement for non North American players) playing two games, winning one game and losing the other. Dual entitlement then went live so I updated the game on my ps5. I went back to the ps4 version to continue playing weekend league (as ea have stated you can only complete the event on the version you started it on), but it is now locked, stating i haven't qualified.

    I have subsequently tried it on the ps5 version and it is also locked on there. I have raised a ticket with ea help and spoken to one of their engineers, there response was (unhelpfully) that they haven't experienced this issue before, and to raise it as a bug on here. I'm not really sure how the community could possibly help fix an issue that's caused by their game being broken, but I've done what they asked. 

    I'm glad that they amended the monthly rewards for all of us that were screwed over by the DC week, but I had finished last week in 'all star" and if I could play the game, could potentially get "mvp" for the month (my best finish so far). But I now can't play the game and as they've changed the thresholds im sitting at "star". it's a bit of a joke. Anyway I've attached some screenshots of the issue. Hopefully somebody from ea see's this and can help.

    @domgows 

    If you started the Weekend League on Gen4, you'll need to finish it on that console for the remainder of the Weekend League.

    Thanks for getting back to me. That was my plan, I was aware that if you start it on one gen of the game, you have to complete it on that. But its locked me out on both versions. I've spoken to EA Helps technical (live chat) support a number of times and not really got anywhere.

    Do you have any suggestions about how to get this resolved?

    @domgows For your new console, have you tried launching the the Gen4 game version? You're able to launch both, so maybe that's why it's locked when you are trying to play on the new console when you're selecting the Gen5 game.

    @EA_Blueberry Yeah I've tried both the gen4 & gen5 versions on the ps5 console, but neither work. & I've also tried on my ps4 console.

    EA help chat said that weekend league was open for my psn so they thought it was a syncing issue. We went through some troubleshooting, but nothing worked. To be honest I'm resigned to not playing this week, and hoping that the issue sorts itself out before next thursday.
