The Ongoing Phenomenon of Unsellable Elites & Elites Priced Ridiculously High
I am posting seeking feedback on the ongoing phenomenon of elites not selling regardless of price and the accompanying trend of elites showing up by the 1000s in the AH priced ridiculously high. Based on my own experiences and the testimony of other MM players both online and in-person I have noticed much to my disappointment that for about six weeks elite players are selling so rarely at any price as to be virtually unsellable. I have placed 89 OVR elites for sale at even giveaway prices and in six weeks have sold just ONE 89 OVR Totd elite for 16k which shocked me because no other player sold at any price point from 30% below the mean or mode asking prices (which were all fantastically inflated) to just 1000 tokens to 750 tokens to less. I experimented with pricing of elites at length and found that even giveaway pricing resulted in no sales. As one of many examples, I placed an 89 OVR elite for sale at auction for just 250 tokens for 72 hours several times and not even a bid much less a sale. Why would someone not buy an 89 elite for 250 tokens when it's worth it just to exchange for player training points? As stated in prior posts, after weeks of trying to sell even ToTD elites at very low prices I sold just one for 16k which was about 1/9 the mean asking price for the same player. I have placed 89 OVR ToTD elites up for sale in the AH for giveaway prices of just a few hundred tokens and not sold a single one despite how very in-demand they are right now. These experiences in not being able to sell elites at any price beginning about six weeks ago plus the testimony of other players I've read online or heard in-person really seem to indicate a problem with the AH and I would sure love to hear feedback from other players or from an EA representative regarding the ongoing phenomenon of unsellable elites. There are many anomalies that don't make sense, like seeing elites proffered at ridiculously high prices, like 160k by the 100s of not 1000s. When I look up an elite player on AH I see masses of players all selling the same player for pretty much the exact same ridiculously high price, always 100k tokens or much more. These posts can't possibly all be real because how can that many players be so put of touch with pricing? Any player with even a few weeks experience knows darn well that an 87 ovr elite is not going to sell for 110k tokens yet search for elites and you will find 100s if not 1000s of listing of high OVR elites from 100k to 160k.I know from experimenting with posting elites at those prices for 72 hours at a time that they aren't selling and the AH bot sure isn't buying them. Why then are there sooo many posts from players asking 150000 tokens for elite players? Surely there are not that many foolish players. Why then are almost ALL elites listed on the AH priced so ridiculously high? Is it possible that these posts are not real but are instead created by the AH bot to ensure that no one will price their elites at reasonable prices? Or worse, are these posts created and posted instead of the actual posts to prevent any or very few elites from selling? (Same horrible idea, basically). I would sure appreciate a prompt informative reply from someone in the know who can explain to me why elites for sale at 150K tokens are the norm rather than the exception. The way things are going just do not make sense at all and again, an informative reply to my queries here sure would be appreciated bcuz the longer this goes on the more convinced I am that, as many experienced players have claimed in posts on EA Help, Reddit and elsewhere, the AH is a totally rigged system only partially driven by player demand and the rest is artificial BS. How else to explain both the phenomenon of virtually unsellable elites coupled with the mass-pricing of elites at prices so high they are laughable and yet suddenly became the norm rather than the exception. One player told me that the AH bot will eventually buy even an overpriced elite of it is posted long enough but I have found that to be untrue. Others have related to me that the entire AH process is rigged and given the near-impossibility of selling 89 OVR elites at even giveaway prices coupled with the mass-posting of elites at at least 100k tokens, usually much more, despite the fact that even a neophyte knows that virtually no 89 OVR elite is going to sell for 140k+ tokens, I am starting to believe the conspiracy tales I've encountered numerous times stating that the AH is fully designed, among other things, to halt the sale of elites going back at least five weeks. It has even been suggested that the AH bot does ALL of the actual buying and selling, compensating sellers, which would explain quite a few anomalies. In any event, I am interested in the truth here, and welcome your comments. Thank you.
