A Better Beginning - Main quest door won't open

Bug --

A Better Beginning, See PeeBee on the other side of the chasm, continue to follow the conduit but the door won't open in the hallway.

No console, just locked. Lights spawn from the floor but no way to open the door.

Tried reloading save's no dice.

Respawn might help.

If you are on a PC, try to repair the game.

(Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair)
(Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

did you ever find a work around or a fix for this ? i recently picked up the game on PS5 and have the same issue .... if it has no fix , i am gonna have to get a refund for a broken game ... no point in me starting again if it is an issue that has been around for a year or more ...

reloading saves didnt work , but quitting the game entirely , loading a different game, then reloading ME:Andromeda and forcing the game to restart/ reload and continuing fixed this issue for me ...
