AMD FX8320 Results?

I know that the AMD FX8320 does not meet Legendary's listed minimum requirements, but has anyone been able to play with one? I know minimum requirements aren't always an absolute, so was curious if I'd be able to enjoy the game on my 8320 rig or if its completely hopeless. Has anyone tried? Will the game launch? Is it playable? Any first-hand experience would be appreciated.

  • Shouldn't make a difference if you're talking about 60 fps. You'll probably get dips here and there, but it should be playable. There's a performance bug that will make the UNC planets in the first game pretty miserable; hopefully that will get fixed in a patch.

The launcher requires AVX, which won't be an issue for that CPU. But even older chips are capable of running the games fine once you bypass the launcher (the games themselves don't require it). So I can't imagine you'd encounter any issues as long as you have realistic expectations.
