Any chance to get a fourth skill slot in future?

I think this becomes necessary especially if you want to be a biotic. Fourth skill would be the minimum. Two skills to make combo (like pool and throw) and two other skills.

if I remember correctly in previous MEs you could use more than 3-4 skills at same time, why did they capped it to 3 this time ?

In single player, I think they shouldn't stop at 4 and instead go back up to 6 slots.  I still don't understand why they changed the working skill balance they had in ME3....only reason I can figure is they wanted "change" and didn't want the label of Mass Effect 3.5 or something.....It worked and was fun, add the favorites and don't allow mixing between classes but allow changing of classes with a cooldown.

By this I mean, you can use 6 skills, and up to four classes with associated skills.  Then you could change up like Alec Ryder does with appropriate cooldowns between classes.  By this I mean, you want Vanguard, fine you get Charge, nova, maybe lance, shockwave, throw, maybe something like turbocharge, or put ammo powers back into skills.....When you desire a change you swap over to say Infiltrator, and you get cloak, incinerate, flamethrower, coldray, turret, hacking, ammo power and maybe the barricade skill.  The one thing you can't do is then mix Charge with cloak, keeping the classes different with mass effect feel, but still allowing you to adapt to the changing needs.

But hey, what do I know, I just fix cars for a living....

actually, i really like the sound of that. shame we'll likely never see it.

There are 4 x 3 skills using favorites.

All the controller keys are committed and it would be such a huge mechanic change, that getting a 4th live skill seems improbable if not impossible.

Just change your favorites profile for additional power loadouts.

Well on PS4 we still have directional touchpad swipes.  Warframe makes use of them.  Right now the only purpose touch pad serves in andromeda is as a button, no swipes.  Xbox would be boned though.

I know you get 4x3 skills but it's a total console mechanic. When you're a PC gamer who played MMOs with multiple skill bars, this feels some over-simplistic.

Guild Wars 2 has something with weapons swapping between two weapon sets that give you different skills, but I wasn't a fan of that either.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for a skill bar with 20 skills but I like the set up in the previous ME games with skills better than this.

If I could get an alternate mode where I could get 3x4 instead of 4x3 I'd be a lot happier already. Not holding my breath though 😉

  • I mean (this will be harsh) since this game is betting everything on gameplay and action and few or nothing on the story, at least provide a compelling gameplay! Give this fourth slot!

I mean the previous games had 8 slots on the pc atleast, why do i have just 3 now annoys me to no end. The entire levelling and freeform system breaks apart cause of the 3 ability limit. At least give us 6 per profile as that is a lot more usable and allows the freedom you wanted in your gameplay. But please do not push your MP 3 skill slot system onto single player.
