How is this being tested against the previous patch? I've been playing on Normal difficulty both before and after the most recent patch and I haven't experienced any issues with shields, or my squadmates going down unusually fast or often. The shields seem generally in line with the original games as well. What platform are you on?

Not everyone is going to suffer the same issues. I’ve also experienced the two shot shields issue, but only in Mass Effect 2. It’s the same reason why some players have their games lockup on cutscenes while others do not, regardless of the platform chosen. Who knows why these issues occur in such a random and intermittent way, I surely don’t know why but, they just do.
I’ve posted my own thread on this issue and have yet to hear from a Community Manager. I don’t know why. Maybe they’re busy, or maybe they’ve reported this to the developers. Maybe so few are experiencing this that they haven’t considered it a priority. What I can say for certain is, I know how this game plays and I know that my shields should take more than two hits before depletion.
And for all the people that keep saying that it doesn’t happen to them, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s happening to me and others who have reported this issue. By the way, I’m playing on the Xbox One X. Below is the link to my original thread…

Yes? By saying I'm not experiencing a particular issue I'm not implying no one should be. There are certainly irregular or platform/system-specific issues, hence my follow-up question. Reporting the absence of an issue can be helpful in determining a cause.@FF7-Legend

@DocTheGamer: Unfortunately, no. The issue is rampant on my end in ME3 though.

To be quite honest, I can’t figure out how this issue manifests in the first place. It’s weird how it occurs, that some have it happen in both 2 and 3, when others have it occur in either 2 or 3. When they were working on the achievement bug for 2, I had a sneaking suspicion that that bug was extremely difficult to pinpoint and repair, the reason why it took so long.
This issue, I’m afraid, and because of how strangely it occurs, will take just as long, if not longer. As far as comparing the before and after the patch, I have test this as having played through Mass Effect 2 twice, once before and once after.
However, I can say with absolutely no doubt that shield should not deplete this rapidly. Anyone who knows this game and has experience in playing it would know that very few attacks in this trilogy can deplete shield this quickly. Getting shot by two burst of a Blue Suns mercenary shouldn’t deplete your shields and a quarter of your health. That is a fact.
