Are existing Andromeda EA Play save games compatible with Steam version?

I recently had access to Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Edition via Xbox Game Pass (which included EA Play) for a month. It was about the only game I really liked while on the subscription for PC.

Andromeda was installed via the EA App and I assume my save games are somehow tied to that system. I'd now like to purchase Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Edition to carry on from where I was.

If I bought this game on Steam, will my existing EA App save games remain compatible so I can just pick up where I left off? Steam sometimes run sales where Andromeda is reduced to £6 - £7, which would be nice.

If not, is my only option to buy Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Edition for full price of £24.99 via the EA App to ensure I can carry on with my existing save games?

Thanks.

That is a great question that has been asked quite a few times. So the short version is that it should as it uses the EA App Launcher in the background. Typically with saves, especially on Steam, they save to the Steam cloud so it can be a bit tricky. However, with this one, as long as you are not loading up saves from the original versions and not the MELE version you should be good to go.

Really appreciate the quick reply on this one. Much appreciated :-)

I have been hunting around for sales for MEA online, not sure when Steam might do a sale next on this one...

Then tonight I searched for "EA Play Sales" which took me right to the EA Play UK website and an offer for MEA for just over £7.49!

    https://www.ea.com/en-gb/sales/deals

I didn't hang about so bought that up right away. Really pleased to see the EA App immediately re-added MEA back into my Library (I never uninstalled it). I'll be very happy to be playing that again later, awesome.

    Thanks again.

@Wise0v0 Right on! Happy to hear that you are jumping back in. Once you get going, would love to see your character set up and build.

    You are most welcome.
