Just noticed that after Patch 1.04, Ashley's Marksman ability is rendered useless. Upon activation she stands stock still and is constantly activating it (the activation sound keeps going off and her omni-tool lights up).
I've tried reinstalling the game from disk and have found that the unpatched executable doesn't have the same issue. However it means I cannot use the DLC.
I believe that I am not alone in this issue and some answers/help would be appreciated.
It's a well-known issue that Bioware completely ignored in patch 1.05. Hopefully it will be fixed in patch 1.06, assuming there is one.
This bug is really annoying and needs an official hot-fix from Bioware.
workaround is to disable squadmate auto-casting.
Tried. It did not work.
At some point Bioware is going to fix it. If not...then I'll put buying future Bioware products at the bottom of my list.
The irony is that it was working perfectly well until they decided screw with it.
If you disable auto-casting, she'll only use Marksman if you tell her so, so you can use all her other powers and she doesn't stand still. Marksman still can't be used of course, if you cast it manually it'll have the same effect.
In that case I might as well spend her points in other powers. I sincerely hope Bioware will patch this in the latest one. Its kind of ridiculous that one of a character's trademark ability can't be used.
