Unfortunately too late for me to choose who I want to save in my playthrough, given my save point. But that is good to know for other players for sure.

I really, really hope that this is remedied soon; I've never played ME before, have been absolutely loving it, and now I'm just up against a brick wall...

I read on reddit from a user that theoretically the cause of the black screen is the last shot you give to Saren being in the next room, you should finish it by finding yourself in the area of the bomb
