Bug? HUD is *way* too big in ME2 (Legendary Edition).

Hi all.  Apparently this is an issue with a lot of UltraWide monitors (21:9 , 3440x1440 resolution for me) in ME2.  The HUD is massive and distracting.  This was not a problem at all in ME1's LE vers...

Thank you!  Please note that I *just* edited the post to include another screenshot / comment about text/subtitle size also being affected.  I'm no programmer, but I suspect it's somehow tied together.  The bottom options (the dialogue-choice wheel) are fine, but the text above from the NPC Jacob is baffling by comparison.  Thought this showed it off well.
