Citadel DLC - Retake Normandy Mission Failure

Whelp, everything was going really great. 

The real Shepard gets betrayed by that Brooks girl (who I actually really liked, so well done with that character because I actually feel betrayed) and gets locked away in a history vault with her squadmates. They have funny banter, the little machine gets them out.

Now it's time to go after **bleep** Shepard. I pick my squadmates, the ones left behind are all sad, and off we go with Joker.

So here's the problem: After I allocated any points left and rearrange any weapons, the window goes into loading and then I heard the 'Critcal Mission Failure' music and Joker's face pops up like he's about to say something, but then the words 'Critical Mission Failure' come up and I'm asked to reload again.

This KEEPS happening. So, I can't continue with the game. I've tried looking around for answers, but it seems all's anyone got is 'update the DLC'. -_-'

Any actuall non-obvious help would be most welcomed. I can't go on with the game. I have a feeling it's that Shepard's respawning incorrectly and falling out of the skycar. Which is... hilarious at first, but not after the seventh reload.
