Since we have Cerebrus outliers in the Initiative mix I'm sure we have Cerebrus itself - and if we don't nationalism, populism, and xenophobia will arise some other way to make something that only differs from Cerebrus by name.

I hope they go home grown with it instead of porting over the villains though. I like Martin's Sheen's rendition of TIM but there's no reason to put him or Shep in Andromeda. We already have Pop jamming an AI in people's heads for 'Mankind's advancement above the galaxy' (and whatever else he and Jien et al were doing). I dislike Alec enough as it is; he doesn't need to be a puppet of Cerebrus.

Why TIM would leave a clone running the show in the Milky Way while a version of him went to Andromeda is a stretch. He thought he could control the Reapers and would win... and almost did. Why leave? He was also well indoctrinated, or at least some version of him was, and I don't see how that TIM could of not known, or controlled, all of Cerebrus' operations.

Clearly they are the puppets of someone. It was also heavily implied that they didn't trust this someone either, but needed the funding - so be prepared to dislike them all more yet. Well Jian and Alek at least. I think all the others who may have been aware already died anyways by the scurge. Something was clearly going on and the Benefactor appears to have different goals to the intiative or it wouldn't all be so hush, hush.

My second playthrough I tried the door first instead of rescuing SAM... and I'm locked in until I fix it. The *only* time the door to SAM node gets locked.

Not technically true, as you get locked out for the epilogue.

i was always wondering does anyone think it's possible for the colonists to be experimented on during the 634 year slumber in cryo? i mean just how possible is it to make alterations to someone in suspended animation? and what would the possible extent of such alteration be if they were in fact possible? i'm thinking maybe some form of subliminal programming, that might have backfired in some fashion, hence the angry idiots who seem to have suffered complete mental breakdowns... lexi said there was a chemical imbalance effecting several of those scavengers, i'm just not completely convinced it was "naturally" occurring, cryo-sleep being natural... lol, not what i meant.

I mean, the Krogan also used that 600+ years to adapt to the genophage as best they could. They "only" achieved +4% viability, but that's statistically huge against a sterility plague.

I think I ran the numbers one time and with the genophage left as in and the Krogan quit being suicidal, the Krogan population should be net positive already at the .1% survival rate (being able to live hundreds of years and having children by the dozens). The 4% number they talked about was from when they were leaving the Milky Way (which means they probably missed Mordin's adjusting the genophage to their clan).

By the thousand. The number I remember is 1K but they don't say how many clutches. A 4% fertility rate works out to 40 surviving children/year.

How many of those survive to maturity is another matter.

Ah, yes, regarding the Geth, given the Geth had that deep space scan thing gathering info, they also had ... what, a couple of hundreds of years of head start upon traveling around? These pathfinding geth being the jaardan? The appeal of finding home, of preparing home, or becoming creators. The different technology could come from evolving and observing some other unknown civilization, or even finding older technology they improved from scratch, or a consensus to avoid detection from their known signatures and layouts.

Highly unlikely that the Jardaan are actually the Geth, totally different tech design. Though I do find that the Jardaan being  A.I. highly likely. Or, the A.I. half of the Jardaan, while the Angarans are the meat side. The Scourge targeting that link lead to the total collapse, as anyone that had the correct implants and A.I. partner was fried by the Scourge. The Voeld A.I. was essentially an overgrown civilian system, run rampant after being alone too long. And the reason that it didn't recognize the Angara at all, even though it would have known the Angara (they predate the Scourge on terraformed worlds) is that they don't have that tech that allows them to interface with any Remnant tech. Essentially, it sees them as primitive spear throwers compared to 'its' civilization.

So I just finished reading Uprising, and, having played through ME:A, I feel that whether the Nexus found hazards in Andromeda or not something bad was going to happen. Given that Sloane, with her checkered past and lack of position in the chain of command, was literally the last one awake on the Nexus, I'm betting that she was the designated fall guy. If (the Benefactor?) hadn't found the Scourge or some other plausible mass casualty/destruction accident, then there would've bombings or something and Sloane would've been the scapegoat, as she eventually was.💔

Of course this assumes that the Nexus was intentionally crashed into the Scourge cause/to cover up Jien Garson's murder as well as any other targets in the Initiative and any other activities being carried out. There were huge amounts of equipment, supplies, and materials that were counted as missing or destroyed after the crash, which could have been stolen after all. Sloane did note that the destruction of many of the Nexus' core systems did seem almost surgical and could have been sabotage. 🤔

We do know that Jien must have been targeted by at least 1 individual awake before the Scourge disaster, although we don't know how many or how long they had been awake. To be able to properly set up an "accident" like this they would probably need to be awake a few months or a year early.🤔
