DLC not Authorized after paying for them? Any news since 2012?

Hi All,

I have purchased yesterday the DLC for my only game on Origin, Mass Effect 3 as I am a big fan of the saga which unfortunately is missing on steam, besides some issue highlighted  my other post on this forum I have then came across even more dirt and disappointment which I hope someone can help me with.

I have purchased £20 worth of DLC from Origin, legally, no torrent, no crack so I was excited to fire up the game and play (despite I despise DLC especially from EA) and here is the catch, I CANNOT PLAY SOMETHING I PAID FOR as EA decided that they cannot Authorize it.

Doing some Googling as it is always the case when you have issue before asking around I have realised this is an issue from 2012 and EA never bothered even to reply to any of the topics opened on its own forum! I have tried a few steps without success to the point that I had to ask a refund as the service was not as advertised which has been done.

Does anyone know how to make this work? The other alternative for HOW RIDICULOUS this is, would be download the DLC from torrent and crack them as reading on different forums I have notice that people with a pirate version of the game have no issue. I hope someone can assist as I would prefer to support such a great game than crack it.

Of course I am gutted on how horrible EA is still is and how little the company does to be better despite being voted worse company in America, indeed this is the first and last game I buy on Origin, I prefer to miss EA Games than paying for a service that is not worth the asking price (including the always online thing with Origin).

Thank you for however can assist with the issue!

  • Yep but didn't get the whole list....then I removed the mod to use the Xbox 360 pad and now I do not get the error anymore but still the DLC does not show on my profile on Bioware Social (I re-bought Levianth) however I am now going to do the first mission on the normandy and see if I get the other message from the Admiral related to this DLC.

I do hope it works, I love ME and I did not play it back in the days as EA was even worse than now (I do not pirate games so I did not play it even in that way).

What's the point of all this DRM when I am paying for the game....their politic is a joke and Origin is a joke too, it does not work even in offline mode as Steam does....

EA will never change unfortunately, I hope they will go caput pretty soon as they ruin the industry...

That's because this is a community driven forum. For official support by EA, you have to contact them through their support channels.

I had an authorization issue once and EA rectified it during a five minute chat session.

  • Fred...clearly users were updating the posts about the issue (please do a google research before commenting) and as you may appreciate if you do, you will see that EA never managed to fix an issue that it is to them, PC Gaming "issues" are something of the past, nearly most games now even set graphic by themselves.... so here we are talking about poor business model from EA.

After attempting to reread this paragraph several times, I have come to the conclusion that I'm having a stroke.

True, all they do is convince without getting to the point and solving the issue.

Hey, I had the same problem for a while and i was able to fix it by adding -nohomedir in properties to the desktop shortcut. Started it up and it found all the dlc no problem.

Hope this works for you as well.
