Doors Bypass Minigame

I am having problem at the doors bypass panel. When activated, a number of blue dots appears. When I press the correct connection, the blue light is still on.

There is no way I can open an important door to progress.

Anyone here facing the same problem?

  • In order to connect during the bypass minigame, you have to be really quick after identifying the pairs. Click on the first symbol and then immediately on the second.

    Otherwise the dots won't connect.

  • I think BioWare should just patch in an accessibility option to skip the bypass and hacking minigames. There's a reason they removed it from ME3. No one liked those.

Them not working for some players is another reason to consider it.

@Schachmatt123 That did it but I can barely work that fast and I know one quest is off limits because of the time involved.

I have bad hands with very little fine movement skills. This mini-game is almost impossible for me to do which really sucks.

I can do the mini-game, did them so often in ME2 original that I didn't even have to look at the symbols but simply look at the dots and lines and know which went together.  They seemed to have reduced the time for the second point to be chosen making this game much harder.  Yeah, I think @Fred_vdp is correct in that they need to make an option to disable all these or GREATLY increase the time limit on choices for people who need it or simply want it.  I know they did remove some of the puzzles and it seems to be about half of them are gone, ie the ones for random loot.

I run most shooters at the easiest game setting I can get.

I need the handicap because sometimes hitting the broadside of a barn can be difficult at times. LOL.

    Fine movement skills are crap.

@jdbassjr Very unfortunate, I've not had the slightest issue on XSX.

Bugs aside, the accessibility suggestions are good ones.

They made them shorter. The icon that looks like a Y is gone.

  • For a senior of 72 years, playing this mini-game is a lot harder with the slow reflexes/bad eyesight. ME2 should use the one in ME1 - ie using omni-gel to open doors/lockers.

Spending this amount for a game which is not enjoyable for our senior is not worth it.

"Remember when you could just slap Omni-gel on everything, gotta hate that security upgrade...."

They do need a toggle for people who can't physically do the game, or just remove them as Fred suggested.  They even poked fun at this with Shadow Broker.
