Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem. I have the Legendary Edition bought from G2A website and installed on my Origin. Once I moved everything else to the EA App, the game disappeared. My collection tells me I've got 4 games (including MELE), but it's still not showing up.
It's really annoying. I've just gone back to installing Origin although it will be obsolete soon.

Ok, now you guys are forcing the ea app and this issue is still not fixed. How am i supposed to play a game that i own when it does not show on my collection. The game was displayed on origin just fine, it has been more than a year since this issue has been reported.
Is the MELE showing up if you search for it?
- Bored_Evans3 years agoSeasoned Newcomer@holger1405 Yes, but when i click it sends me to the store page to buy it. I must add that all the games that were on the amazon giveaway are missing, so Mass Effect Legendary Edition, NFS Heat and Grid Legends
Then I would suggest to revert back to Origin for the time being. (Direct download link.)
@Bored_Evans
Only MELE is missing from my library that I got from amazon prime. But MELE is the one I wanted to play the most. Hoping they fix this soon.
EDIT: Hmm, I just needed to restart the app and it appeared. Weird.I STILL have this issue in 2023. And even worse, with the forced upgrade, I literally can't even install Mass Effect Legendary.
Please clear your temp files:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
- Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
- Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)
Then:
- Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.
- At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse.
- If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
- When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
- Restart the PC > Reinstall the newest version of EA app from here.
I fully uninstalled and reinstalled(Including deleting the EA App Content in Program Data, Program Files, and App Data) the EA App and that took me from 20 something Games on the EA App to all 53. It's a more extreme version of clearing your cache but it seems to have worked for me.
Yepp, here in 2023 and still have this issue. Bought it through steam, was forced to switch from the Origin app to the EA app, won't launch. Validated the files, tried clearing everything, went through multiple attempted fixes, reinstalled and installed multiple times. EA app still does not recognize the game as being downloaded. It shows up in my library on EA app but won't let me do anything. It's ludicrous that this hasn't been fixed yet.
EDIT: Got it fixed from a registry edit.
