Enjoying 'Insanity' difficulty
I'm coming to appreciate 'Insanity' difficulty as the 'best' way to play. Though it is tough.
Started another trilogy playthrough (mid-way Mass Effect 2 currently).
Do you play 'insanity'?

The hardest part on insanity (or any difficulty) is in the Archangel recruitment mission where you have to turn a corner and there's a pyro right in your face. Worse if you left one of your team mates behind as support.
I did leave a teammate behind on the Archangel mission.
But I also brought a missile launcher which shoots around corners, taking out the Vorcha Flamer with 2 or 3 shots. 😉
The next challenge for me is the Derelict Reaper... 🙂
I use the Cain on that one.... 😈
I was annoyed back in May that the 'Insanity III' Xbox achievement was seemingly bugged after my first insanity run.
But I'm pleased to report all is well on my second run. Happy that that's resolved. 🙂
@holger1405 For that fight I use to send my companion to draw fire and step in while pyro is in CD. The only time I used Cain was on Tuchanka (Grunt's loyalty mission). For the rest of games, I got lots of post-mortem medals 👿
I found the Particle Rifle deals perfectly with the Threasher Maw as there are two heavy ammo caches to pick up.
I picked up the insanity achievement after ME2 (go figure) but I'm pressing ahead with ME3 on insanity and it's all pretty fine.
