FEEDBACK: Augmentations seem to be imbalanced.

Essentially I've tested a lot of the augmentations and they seem to be pretty broken, and I'm sure if you check the Mass Effect Reddit you'll see plenty of threads that agree. Given the recent weapon re-balance (thanks for fixing the M-96 Mattock by the way, I love that rifle since ME2.

I'd assume you guys are looking into it but I'll post it anyways just in case.

Lets talk about Beam Emitter for example: I play on Insanity and it normally takes me about a clip or a clip and a half of the N7 Hurricane V to kill a basic Chosen or Outlaw Raider, but with the Beam Emitter it seems to reduce the damage so much that I actually end up using about 4 clips if not more to kill one.

I'm assuming that's not working the way its supposed to, right?

My brother, who also has a copy of the game, tested several other augmentations that seemed to have similar effects on other guns, essentially rendering them useless.

Hope you can take my Feedback into consideration,

Thanks!

I agree.  As if it isn't bad enough that some of the augmentation descriptions aren't very descriptive, some of these augmentations have drawbacks they don't mention.

The beam one might actually be one, because I don't recall it stating that the damage is reduced but you're saying it is.  The heat sink cuts how many shots you can fire before having to stop in half but doesn't mention that either/

    And the list goes on.

The augmentations were a nice concept, but as they are, poorly executed... in my opinion.

  • And there are also augmentations that are too good imo. After unlocking the extra augmentation slot through AVP and crafting the Heleus Armor with kinetic coils only, I feel like a god on insanity. Taking cover is so trivial
