Well I reloaded an earlier save, one where I had just got back to the Nexus after the Asari Ark mission. I was literally outside the Tempest. I proceeded to do everything exactly as I had before, even choosing the exact same conversation choices, accepting the same missions (including the dock manager one) and I could not get the crash to happen. This has stumped me greatly in all honesty.
There is one thing I did notice however. When looking at my saves, the ones before the glitch had 26% completion, the ones where the the CTD was happening had 25%, despite actually being further ahead in the game. I think this may have something to do with the crash. Somehow, a completed quest has bugged (I think) and is causing the crash. No idea what the root cause is though. All I know is, I retraced my steps one by one exactly and I could not replicate it a second time.

I don t think problem is in Contagion task alone, because quest triggers automatically ( somehow, almost everyone managed to complete it) and i had t even touched it. BUT, it may be the cause of wrong script combination, as well
3. Just some delayed animations or items placement. I mean 2 things that got same spot at the time that they shoud t leading to crush. If you don t visit nexus very often- it is quite possible, like the first option.
4. "Night quest". Not sure about it. I assume that if you dont go to nexus directly right after recieving devices search mission, there may be some diversity. For example: if you go on other missons or planets, then different numbers of devises explodes, depended on time spent before arriving on the nexus.
Some algorithm in sequence of our actions put us in trouble, otherwise all players would have same issue.
Anyway it must be fixed, not replayed or even avoided.
