Game won't maximize from tray (ALL ME GAMES)

I recently bought the Mass Effect trilogy.

I went to run Mass Effect (Original) and the game loads up but both my screens flash black for a while and all I can hear is the game sound, then the game minimises to the Windows Taskbar. When I try to maximise the game again, the same thing happens. This happens for all Mass Effect games. Can't check if it happens for simply all Origin games as I don't have any others but this doesn't happen for any Steam/other games on my PC. My PC is running Win8.
