I wanted to import my Mass Effect 1 character that I invested 50 hours on, into Mass Effect 2. However, I bought Mass Effect 1 on Steam and when I go to import my character there isn't anything there. Is there some way to transfer the save file to Origin so that I can import my level 50 Shepard?
Have you gone to:
C:\Users\username\Documents\BioWare
Both my games are there, I imagine the Steam version is the same place they normally go there.
The save files are always stored in teh same folder, whether you have the Steam, Origin or retail version. Make sure you copy the save files as instructed in my pinned thread.
The config utility should be in Steam - Steamapps - common - Mass Effect.
