Did you trigger the Paramour II achievement prior to or after the most recent fix (June 28th fix)? If before, then it probably won't be a workaround (I can't say since I already have the achievement from from May).
If you did get them after the latest fix, then I would suggest to everyone to use that.
I read in another forum that if you save right before the romance in ME1 and reload that save, you can get the Paramour 2 and 3 achievement by reloading the save over and over. I will try that when I do my Insanity playthrough if there is no real fix then.

Yes, do that for the paramour achievements with your LI. AFA the insanity, if you still have a complete insanity save for ME1, use that. If not, then the do the main missions {it should be easy} if you already have a playthrough and have the best weapons. Once you get to defeating Saren (or he kills himself) save the game right before activating the console to talk to Joker and make the choice on the council.
If insanity II pops after the final battle, then repeat that using the save before the talking to Joker.

Paramour 2/3 are definitely still bugged, and it sounds like Insanity 2/3 is as well but I'm not progressing until these issues are corrected.
I played ME1 during launch week and got Paramour 1 / Insanity I, and kept a save before the romance scene with Liara as I heard about the glitch but wanted to get these legit. Beat ME2 on normal, romancing Liara (which I know doesn't unlock Paramour 2). Played ME3 on Insanity until the decision to commit to Liara comes up and made a save. Chose yes, no achievement (this is where the achievement triggers on Xbox 360, not the romance scene before the Cerberus base attack).
Loaded up my game after both the last patch and the latest hotfix, reloading this save and making that choice again. No achievement, not even after making a save in ME1 and reloading the game.
However, I did reload my ME1 scene and go through the romance scene again and that unlocked Paramour 2. I tried beating ME1 on Insanity again using my save, but that did not trigger Insanity 2. I then reloaded ME3 thinking that now that Paramour 1 and 2 were unlocked in ME1 that I could at least get Paramour 3 now. Nope, reloaded the scene and nothing unlocks.
If these can''t get fixed can we at least get a rollback of the patched workaround which allowed users to unlock Paramour 2/3 and Insanity 2/3 in a single game so these aren't just permanently locked? It feels pretty bad that they fixed the only foolproof workaround to this bug before they fixed the bug itself.

Adding another voice to the pile that Paramour III is still not fixed. I have 1 and 2 but no 3. I even have saves before ME2 and ME3 romance portions and have tried each multiple times since the patch. No luck.
Incredibly disheartening to make it through all three games and not feel that satisfaction of completion.

I'm well on the way through a ME3 insanity run (starting after the hotfix) so I hope it will land. 🙂

Have you tried replaying the ME1 romance scene? That's what worked for me. It was odd because I got Paramour and Insanity from Mass Effect 1, but Paramour II and Insanity II didn't pop for ME2, even when I replayed the relevant sections after the patch. Then I went back to ME1 and replayed the romance scene and final battle, and the achievements popped then.
My theory is that the progress for Paramour II and Insanity II (and probably Paramour/Insanity III as well) was not tracking properly for me before the patch. So when I completed the relevant portions of ME2 after patching, it counted "1 game done" even though I already had Paramour and Insanity. Then post-patch I went back and did the sections of ME1 again and it was able to count 2 games done at that point.

I keep reading about these cheese tricks to make the achievements/trophies pop for Insanity II/III and Paramour II/III by replaying romance scenes or the final fight against Saren in Mass Effect I multiple times. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to do that. I’m not cheesing the game for a number of reasons. 1) I completed all three games fair and square on Insanity and romanced someone in each game so I want the trophy to pop naturally. 2) I’m playing on PS5 so when a trophy pops it does a screen shot and a small video clip of the moment you achieved said trophy. If I were to use some cheese method work around to make the trophy pop for Insanity III, then it will show me beating the Saren boss fight again which obviously I can’t send to friends to show my trophy clips and if any of my friends check out my trophies, then they will think I simply cheated to get the trophy. I don’t feel like explaining myself a number of times to fellow gamers and friends in gaming groups. It would be greatly appreciated if the game can be patched on all platforms so paramour and insanity trophies were correctly unlocking at appropriate times across all three games.

- 5 years ago@SeraphicSaint I 100% agree with you about everything you said.... but playing Devil's advocate, does it REALLY matter that your friends have to see the trophies? If you beat the game on insanity, then you beat the game. Remember the old days, before online gaming and achievements. There was no way for anyone to know what you did. I remember when I beat Goldeneye N64 on 007 mode or whatever was the hardest mode. I had to show my friends on my console that I beat it. You can do the same.
Again, I get what your saying, and I'm not giving you a hard time about it. I'm just looking at it both ways.
Everyone plays games for their own reasons. I like getting achievements too, but for me it's more of a personal satisfaction than anything else. - 5 years ago
If it were just for my sake then, no, it wouldn’t really matter much, but I do like to go back and review challenging trophy moments and see the screen shots or clips when they pop. I am also a moderator for a Twitch following on Discord. We have a museum section to show everyone our achievements and I was excited to show everyone my completion of the Trilogy on Insanity. We all like to challenge ourselves.
I’m not saying nobody should use a cheese method to work around the glitches if they choose to do so especially if they beat the games legit and just want the achievements to be done. I’m simply speaking for people that don’t want to use that method for whatever personal reasons. Because when others respond saying to simply redo the Saren fight, it isn’t exactly helpful to me.
I get that in the past, people would never know anyway, but that’s the thing. We have more advanced technology now and we can show friends our accomplishments. It could be argued it’s just a game and who cares, but I feel we could make that argument about anything, it’s subjective. Even from the PS4 to the PS5 is a cool jump. PS4 used to only take a screen shot when a trophy popped. Now PS5 takes a screen recording of trophies so it’s fun to look at a clip of what you were doing when you got a certain trophy.

Hello, I am working on my insanity run and after completing the one in ME1 I am now in the ME2 portion, recruited Thane and now working to get Samara to join so you can tell I am worried in this front.
For the Paramour in ME2 ai would recommend making a save before the one you'll romance and then do. After doing so reload the last save, do so if you plan to not cheat on your ME1 partner. I am gonna see if this works in the remaster as it did on the 360.

Just to clarify, there is nothing "cheese" about this alternative metodes to get the achievements.
They achievements only get triggered this way if you actually played the games on insanity, so what it does is triggering the flag that should have been set in the first place but was not set because of the bug.
Not saying you should do it this way, that's entirely your decision, but as said, nothing cheese about that.

Well in that case, I apologize for misunderstanding and I apologize if anything I said came off as rude or elitist. That’s not my intention. I don’t personally have an issue with anyone cheesing anything anyway. The reason I called it a cheese was because upon not receiving Insanity III, I was searching for help. I immediately came across a group of players claiming to cheese the Insanity achievements by keeping it on the easiest difficulty until the end when Saren is one shot, then switching to Insanity and apparently it would award the Insanity achievement. They also stated you could replay it two more times to trigger Insanity II and Insanity III without even needing to play the other games. This is the reason why I referred to it as the cheese method. I did read that it was patched and apparently exclusive to Xbox, but that’s what caused my confusion over the advice from others that I was reading to fix my issue.

NP, just wanted to make sure the players that suggest this don't feel like they cheated in some way.
I hope Bioware fixes the rest of the achievement problems as well.

@SeraphicSaintJust FYI, they patched the cheese before they patched the actual achievements. I know this because when Insanity/Paramour II didn't pop when I finished ME2, I googled it, found out about the bug, found out about the cheese, and decided to try the cheese to get the achievement I'd rightfully earned, but the cheese did not work. Then I checked a discussion on the patch (the June 7th patch I think) and someone commented that they'd patched the cheese but not the achievement, making it impossible to get the achievement at all. If your achievements pop by replaying ME1, it's not because you've "cheesed" it, it's because the progress wasn't tracking properly against the Insanity II/III and Paramour II/III achievements before the June 28th patch.

Just passed ME2 LE on Insanity and so far both the first and second Insanity trophies have unlocked, I am however missing the Insanity 3 (ME3 LE on insanity to go) and the Paramour III (ME 1 and 3 Paramours unlocked with no cheating) which didn't unlock as the screen went black after I talked to Talk in engineering and she agreed to romance Shepard, I can still invite her to the cabin and all of this is post Suicide Mission (it could unlock in the original game) but I fear after I got frustrated I deleted save as my last save was on the Reapers IFF prior to her and Legion loyalty missions plus the Collectors Base. I'll either start a new playthought and romance her just to delete or I'll wait and hope a new patch (if any) helps.

I just completed Mass Effect 2 on Insanity after completing ME 1 on Insanity and the "Insanity II" achievement has not unlocked. I started my ME 2 playthrough on May 31 so I'm not sure if an update messed with my save file.
