Issues with Xbox wireless controller on PC (ME1, ME2)

Ok, so I started ME:LE (on PC) and then opened my current progress on ME1 (EDIT: and on ME2), using an Xbox Series X controller (connected to the PC via Bluetooth); and as soon as the gameplay starts the controls go haywire - The camera continually spins, some of the buttons stop working, and some buttons are swapped with others.

If I remove the controller's batteries, the game reverts to keyboard/mouse input, but even if I put again the batteries, or if I reset the game and my PC, the controller behaves the same.

Oddly enough, if I remove the controller's batteries and connect via USB cable to the PC, the controls work perfectly.

Has anybody experienced this?

Cheers!

EDIT: I bought the game via Origin.

    Same issue here.

Series X controller mappings over Bluetooth on PC are totally broken in ME1. Haven't tried ME2 or ME3 yet.

The same controller works in other games, and in this game's launcher.

I have it on Origin too, and found this workaround was successful - connect the controller with the USB-C cable and start the game. Once you are in and playing, you can remove the cable and it will revert to using Bluetooth, with the mappings still functional.

edit: The other thing that works, is to start the game with keyboard/mouse and turn on your controller after you get to the ME1 menu.
