Loyalty missions before Meridian?

As title of post states, should I do each person's loyalty mission before going to Meridian? Also should I fix all the vaults on the planets I've been to before going to Meridian? I know a lot of people have said you can do the main mission and go back for all the other stuff but will I still need to unlock and fix the vaults if finish the main mission?

  • If you do intend to do the missions in the first place, why not do them before the final mission?  Story progression wise it fits as well...  There will be some missions that you can do after the final mission, there will also be quest that will be locked up and you cant progress further, Ryder family secrets for example will be locked.

The story fits better if you do all the side and main planet quests before the final quest imo.

this question can't be answered by us. doing the main missions or doing all the side missions/loyalty missions is all on how you wish to play the game. do you have to unlock the vaults after the main story.... no you don't but that would cut a already short game in half. i will say this if you skip everything and only do the main missions it will effect the main story outcome and once completed it can't be changed so choose wisely.

if you'd rather go that root i don't think there's many issues, though like others have said, it fits the story better if you finish that stuff before hitting meridian... however, i'm not sure of the impact of leaving that stuff unfinished in the endgame, as my two PTs had all that stuff finished before then, a lot of it i actually finished before hitting the archon's flagship actually.

There are some issues that arise from quests not done.

There's a choice you make at the end options maybe missing from, amoung a couple of other things, including survival of non crew members.

Plus help you do or don't get.

So there is a  impact. No idea how much it will effect future games. Upto you if that matters or not.

  • As I have discovered, once you start down the Path of going to Meridian, certain quests lock out until you have defeated the Archon (e.g Cora's Loyalty quest is locked out for me, as I have already started the Journey to Meridian) , so my advice would be yes, do them.

    Highly recommended.

While you could go through the Omega Relay in ME2 prematurely, it propably meant things not going so well...

Same thing here, though consequences not quite as dramatic (propably mostly effects stuff in future sequels).
