Mass Effect 1 LE Career Completion Bug

Please help. *Note I am on xbox series x* This is a bug that has now happened to me on multiple playthroughs. When I beat the final boss and then make my final councilor decision when it puts my Shepard in front of either the Paragon or Renegade backdrop I get a notice from the console saying "Maximum save game limit for this career has been reached" despite me only having one singular manual save. It doesn't create a completion save, meaning I can't import it into Mass Effect 2. I cleared out all old careers in all 3 games, I deleted local save data and forced a resync, going offline to force a new save without the cloud data, I've tried replaying the whole game again just in case it was just that career that was bugged. I just can't figure this out. I have over 2200 hours in the legendary edition and I've never seen anything like this. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

*Side note I don't know if this makes a difference but this started happening on what would have been numbered career 41 in the mass effect 2 import screen. Maybe it's an import or save cap> But I couldn't find anything like that online anywhere.
