Mass Effect 1 Legendary Using Integrated Graphics by DEFAULT? WHY??!

I'm getting single digit FPS in ME1 and Its because the game is using my Intel GPU instead of my graphics card, I just have one question - why?

Original Mass Effect is using my rtx 1080 just fine, and same goes for ME2 and ME3 Legendary, but not this one??

Just how little EA actually cares about its customers and their products if they cant even have the PC version be optimized AT LEAST as well as 2007 version? This is frankly embarrassing, and manually forcing Mass Effect Legendary.exe to use rtx 1080 in Nvidia control panel doesnt fix the issue.

You wanna know what DOES fix the issue? Having BioWare not treat their most famous franchise as abandonware and release some darn fixes after months of silence! Also in Nvidia control panel you haveto SPECIFICALLY launch ME1 and THEN select the same damn app with the same damn name but with a different picture and only THEN will it finally force it to use the GPU it should. I'm legit fuming this is a thing.

Hope this helps ppl in the future.

I understand that this is frustrating, but I fail to see how this is Bioware's fault.

If your system is not recognising the MELE ME1 as a high performance 3D task then there is a problem within your system.

The "Mass Effect Legendary.exe" you speak of is presumably the "MassEffectLauncher.exe" and that is not the game but the launcher.

To make the NVIDIA control panel recognising the game exe you must point it to the individual game executables under ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\Binaries\Win64" respectively "...ME2\Binaries\Win64", ...ME3\Binaries\Win64" should  you get the problem there to.

Also please remember that Nvidia Control panel no longer controls the GPU assignment for individual apps. It is now done via windows 10 modern settings app

You can do it in the Windows settings, but you can also still do it in the NVIDIA control panel.

@holger1405 thanks but I already told the solution but I guess an alternate wouldnt hurt, also yeah its Bioware's fault cause ME1 original runs perfectly and other ppl have run into this issue so yeah BioWare EA bad and you can stop brownnosing for em, unless you get paid for that

I don't, but maybe you can put in a good word for me? 🙂

And I don't "brownnosing" for then either, just stating facts.
A game executable not recognised by the system as a high performance task is not the fault of the executable or the vendor of this executable but a problem on the specific system.

On my gaming Laptop for example LE1 is recognised just fine and and utilizes the NVIDIA GPU.

@WindSquid1313 Don't treat people like that, especially when they just solved a problem for free. Holger is right, this was a Windows 10 issue.
