@spI4t Hey, can you try restarting your system with a Clean Boot, then try the steps Holger mentions again?

Be sure to keep an eye open for any notifications, ensure that Origin is allowed to make any changes needed.

Thanks but this didn't help either. I also disabled Windows Firewall for a second but that didn't help.
Could something actually be wrong in the license or my Origin account?

It's unlikely, usually this is due to a local tech-related issue that prevents the correct info from being written locally. Normally the repair steps will overwrite the local license, I'm not sure why it's not working now.
Can you try temporarily disabling your anti-virus, then close Origin and clear the .dlf file again? Start Origin back up and try the repair once more.- 9 years ago

I want to try from a different angle, can you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\vc\vc2005\redist and run the application there as an administrator?
